This is not your ordinary everyday tuna sandwich. This is a very special super creamy sandwich that has a hint of coriander or should I say cilantro or maybe even dhaniya!
This is the meal that gets made in my house when we are in a rush and need to fix something up real quick. I used the tuna that is in spring water but that doesn’t mean you can’t use the tuna in oil and added finely chopped onions. What makes this tuna sandwich so special is the cream cheese, you have to spread it on both slices of bread, add the tuna mixture in the middle then lather on margarine on the top and bottom and put in on a hot non-stick pan. We always cut them into fours, easier to eat…
- 425g tin tuna fish
- 1 chopped onion
- handful chopped coriander
- 125g cream cheese softened
- 16 slices of bread
- Mix the tuna, onion and coriander together. Spread cream cheese to only one side of the bread and add the tuna mixture on top of it. Spread cream cheese on another slice of bread and put it on top of the tuna.
- Lather margarine on the top and bottom of the sandwich. Brown till crispy on a hot pan. Cut into fours.
